Watch Us Rise by Renée Watson + Ellen Hagan
I really enjoyed this novel. Having feminist literature accessible to and in the perspective of young people is SO important and crucial to us seeing a true change in society.
Serious Moonlight by Jenn Bennett
Birdie and Daniel are absolutely adorable and I enjoyed reading their story. *SWOON ALERT*
Pride and Prejudice and Passports: A Modern Retelling by Corrie Garrett
I really enjoyed this book! The modern retelling of a classic book from a Mexican American family in the Trump era was a story line I did not see coming!
Red Queen by Victoria Aveyard
I love a good dystopian fiction novel, but mix in some super powers and this anime loving girl is in her bookish happy place!
Below (North #1) by Alexandria Warwick
The intricacy of the world building gave me goosebumps. I was able to recreate the Inuit world in my mind so easily because of the detail the book entailed.
