The novel can be seen of a critique of this societal shift to praising the superficial. However, it does so in a light way: This was a fun and easy read.
The intricacy of the world building gave me goosebumps. I was able to recreate the Inuit world in my mind so easily because of the detail the book entailed.
So, I wasn't be able to go to my local Friends of the Library sale last month (and I am SUPER bummed), but I did pick up these new reads in the last month from the Barnes & Noble #BookHaul and from Book of the Month Club and I'm very excited to get through my books on deck to get to these! There are also a few ARCs I'll be reading and reviewing this month too.
